After last summer’s trolley dash, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has hinted it will be a case of quality over quantity this time around.
Tuchel’s predecessor Frank Lampard was handed a huge warchest with seven players arriving with a total outlay of more than £200m.
However, after Tuchel help transform their season, a campaign which ended in European glory in Portugal, the German accepts it will be a different approach in 2021.
Two or three could be very, very good,” he told reporters last month. “It’s a constant thing to never deny change.
“That you always bring new energy, new guys who question the old beliefs, who challenge everybody in the training and in matches, so I think it’s a good thing.”
With that in mind, here are the latest rumours, including two incomings and one potentially high-profile exit.
Despite being 32, suggestions that Robert Lewandowski could be open to a move this summer has put Europe’s biggest and best on red-alert.
