Chelsea are expected to strengthen their squad this summer and help Thomas Tuchel build on last season’s Champions League triumph.
The 2020/21 campaign proved a historic one in Blues history, with Tuchel guiding them to European glory and the FA Cup final despite only replacing sacked boss Frank Lampard at the end of January.
Despite their success, Stamford Bridge chiefs will still be determined to bolster their squad and boost Tuchel’s chances of mounting a serious Premier League title challenge next term.
And ahead of the summer window, Daily Star Sport are on hand with the latest Chelsea transfer developments below.
Chelsea have Coman edge
Both Chelsea and Manchester United are said to be interested in signing Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman this summer.
But according to German outlet Bild, it is the Blues who lead the race for his signature because of Tuchel’s Bundesliga connections.
The German spent two years in charge of Borussia Dortmund, getting his hands on the DFB-Pokal in 2017.
Coman, who has two years remaining on his Bayern deal, scored the winner against Tuchel’s PSG in the 2020 Champions League final.
Mourinho eyes Abraham
Tammy Abraham is expected to depart Stamford Bridge in the upcoming transfer window after falling out of favour under Tuchel in the second half of last season.
Aston Villa, West Ham, Wolves and Leicester have all been touted as potential suitors, but the Leicester Mercury also claim Jose Mourinho’s Roma are circling.
Abraham, who made his Chelsea debut five months after Mourinho was sacked by the club for a second time, has scored 30 goals in his last 79 appearances for the Blues.
Haaland price tag revealed
Spanish publication AS are reporting that Borussia Dortmund have named their price for in-demand frontman Erling Haaland – and it’s a staggering €200million (£172million).
Chelsea and a host of European clubs, including Premier League rivals Manchester United and Manchester City, have been tipped to sign the 20-year-old sensation this summer.
