Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea are all on high alert following reports that Barcelona’s wonderkid, Ilaix Moriba, could be allowed to leave the club this summer.
Moriba is a product of the famed La Masia academy – which has also produced players such as Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, and Pep Guardiola.
However, the 18-year-old only has one year left on his contract at the Camp Nou, and cash strapped Barcelona may look to cash in on the youngster’s talents.
And with the news that Moriba could be available this summer, United, City and Chelsea have all begun to circle – according to Mundo Deportivio.
Barcelona have tried to tie Moriba down to a long-term contract, however, the Catalans are unwilling to meet his demands.
Moriba currently has an £86million buyout clause, and Barcelona could let him go for cheaper to avoid him leaving on a free next summer.
The youngster has been a precious talent since he joined Barcelona from city rivals Espanyol when he was seven, and has been highly rated in the academy ever since – even becoming their highest-earning academy player ever in 2019.
Ronald Koeman has handed Moriba a handful of first-team appearances last season, and he has caught the eye of the Premier League sides.
